At abbGrowers, everything revolves around blueberries. What started as a family business has grown into an international specialist in the global blueberry supply chain. From our modern packing facility in Horst, we sort and pack top-quality berries year-round, sourced from our own cultivation and from selected growers in Europe, Africa and South America.

To maintain our high quality standards, we are looking for a Quality Employee who combines accuracy with a hands-on mindset and ensures that only the best berries reach our customers.

What you will do

As a Quality Employee, you play a key role in safeguarding the quality of our products and processes. You carry out checks, analyse results and ensure that every batch meets our strict requirements. Together with colleagues in production, sourcing and logistics, you monitor food safety and product quality.

In concrete terms, you will:

• Inspect incoming and outgoing batches of berries and record findings in QC One
• Conduct visual and physical quality checks during the packing process
• Take samples, perform shelf-life tests and report the results
• Monitor hygiene and food safety standards in the production environment
• Identify deviations, communicate them immediately and follow up accordingly
• Contribute ideas on improvements and process optimisation
• Work with modern technology, including AI-driven sorting machines and digital inspection systems

With your sharp eye, you ensure that our blueberries always meet the highest standards.

Who you are

You have an eye for detail without losing oversight. You understand the importance of quality in fresh products and enjoy working in a team where everyone takes responsibility. You remain calm under pressure, set priorities and act quickly when necessary.

You bring:

• Vocational-level education (MBO), preferably in food, fresh produce (AGF) or quality
• Affinity with fresh products and quality control
• Good command of Dutch and English; Polish is an advantage
• Strong communication skills and a positive mindset
• Flexibility in working hours (including staggered shifts and occasional Saturdays)
• A proactive attitude and a focus on improvement
