Consumers spend more on healthy fruit, like blueberries
Consumers spent more money on buying fruit in 2020.The largest growth in expenditure is for the kiwi at 28%. The expenditure on blueberries comes in fourth place, an increase of 19%.
Slightly less than half of all households in the Netherlands buy blueberries. However, steady growth can be seen in reaching the Dutch consumer. Market penetration has increased from 9 to 48% in 10 years.
